Cardigan Donuts

Our team created a new vision of comfort food in the downtown Minneapolis Skyway. Warmth and welcome—served fresh daily. As co-founder, I brought together a small team of creatives to develop the brand and craft the vision of Cardigan Donuts.

Cardigan Donuts is a labor of love—literally. For years its Principal, Justin Bedford, and myself built a vision of quality, hospitality and mid-century warmth into the business plan that became Cardigan. The result is a brand with a unique vision for warmth and welcome.

The brand aesthetic is a collaborative effort on many fronts. Much of the design work was crafted by Matt Palmer. His fingerprints are found throughout Cardigan Donuts, helping us develop the early vision into finished assets. Plenty of other hands were involved during development as well.

The in-house team at the shops have done a phenomenal job carrying forward the brand ethos. The warmth and welcome go far beyond a brand. The team is what makes Cardigan Donuts one of the top shops in the country.

Our small team poured over operations strategy before launching. Spencer Albers challenged us to think about our messaging, communications and service process. Customer engagement and experience continues to be a focus at Cardigan Donuts.

Cardigan Donuts footprint continues to grow, both digitally and physically. New shop-in-shop locations and downtown restaurants continue to carry the warmth and welcome to Minneapolis.
